This thesis investigates whether user activities in 5G networks can be inferred by analyzing control-plane traffic alone. An experimental 5G testbed was implemented using Open5GS and UERANSIM to capture signaling data during VoIP calls and data exchanges. The results show that metadata from control-plane messages can reveal user behavior.
