In this thesis work, the main objective is to present a new conical flowmeter configuration, named the N-F flowmeter, designed to enhance the already good performance of the traditional V-Cone®, especially when compared to other differential pressure devices by improving the discharge coefficient Cd and, consequently, the flow characteristics both upstream and downstream of the meter. Numerical simulations revealed a clear advancement on all fronts. For every flow rate analyzed, the N-F configuration exhibited a significantly higher discharge coefficient and a lower pressure drop compared to the standard V-Cone®, along with an overall improvement in flow quality as it passed through the device.

Numerical simulations revealed a clear advancement on all fronts. For every flow rate analyzed, the N-F configuration exhibited a significantly higher discharge coefficient and a lower pressure drop compared to the standard V-Cone®, along with an overall improvement in flow quality as it passed through the device.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
