Metamaterials are used to reduce noise and vibrations. The behavior of different configurations of an origami panel is studied through parametric geometry, observing its harmonic response at low frequencies and identifying negative peaks. Abstract
Metamaterials are used to reduce noise and vibrations. The behavior of different configurations of an origami panel is studied through parametric geometry, observing its harmonic response at low frequencies and identifying negative peaks. Subsequently, the information on the amplitude and frequency of the panel due to the application of a unitary force in the X, Y and 45° directions is collected; after which the results obtained are plotted to make comparisons between the different cases and reach a conclusion.
