The thesis analyzes the thermo-electrical performance of photovoltaic systems, with particular focus on temperature effects and the benefits offered by photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) technology. A numerical model was developed in MATLAB based on energy balance equations to describe the behavior of the modules, and it was validated through comparison with PVGIS data. In addition to the theoretical framework, the work documents a real case study of a system installed in Cerignola and presents a comparative PV–PV/T analysis under different climatic conditions. The results show that thermal integration improves overall efficiency, reduces temperature-induced electrical degradation, and contributes to the domestic hot water demand. Finally, the impact of thermal stresses on module reliability and lifetime is discussed.

Abstract
Finally, the impact of thermal stresses on module reliability and lifetime is discussed.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
