Visible Light Communication (VLC) and Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) transmission technology are promising alternatives to traditional wireless techniques, offering high speeds and increased security. This thesis analyses the potential and advantages of Li-Fi in the medical area, comparing it with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other currently used technologies. The results show that Li-Fi can overcome many limitations of traditional technologies, improving the efficiency and security of communications in healthcare.
