Abstract
Deployable structures have become essential components in aerospace industry, where the constraints of volume occupied during launch are increasingly stringent due to the extremely limited space available. Once in orbit, the deploy- deployment of these structures requires increasingly innovative and reliable systems. This thesis summarises the current state of research and trends in the development of deployable structures and systems for space applications. Through a qualitative qualitative approach, a comparative analysis is proposed between established deployment technologies and a new frontier in space applications. and a new frontier represented by the adoption of shape memory materials. memory materials, which pave the way for intelligent deployment systems.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
