The thesis analyzes the technique of hyperthermia, which uses controlled elevation of the body temperature (39-45 °C) to selectively target cancer cells, which are more sensitive to heat compared to healthy cells. The underlying physical principles of this technique are described, along with the technologies involved (microwaves, radiofrequency, ultrasound) and the engineering challenges, such as the uniform distribution of heat and precise temperature monitoring. Additionally, a specific clinical case is analyzed, in which hyperthermia was used in combination with other therapies to evaluate the effectiveness and potential benefits of this technique in the treatment of solid tumors.
