Abstract
Nowadays, machines and systems are being developed that can measure multiple types of mechanical fields without affecting the measurand, thanks to image analysis. This is precisely what thermoelastic stress analysis (TSA) is based on, a full-field, non-contact technique that uses IR images to measure stress distributions in mechanical components stressed by dynamic loads. This project will highlight the differences in using microbolometers based thermal cameras instead of photonic sensors, and how this affects the analysis and uncertainty of the measurements performed. For the study, a rotating bending fatigue machine was previously built at the Polytechnic laboratories, from which a typical stress pattern characteristic of the Moore machine was obtained.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
