The growing need to reduce road transport emissions and improve urban sustainability has fostered the spread of bike-sharing systems as a micromobility solution. However, the success of such systems largely depends on the proper siting of stations, which affects both demand coverage and operational efficiency. In this context, the present work focuses on the analysis of the urban area of Bari, with the aim of identifying the most suitable locations for the installation of bike-sharing stations. The adopted approach builds on optimization models discussed in the literature, which seek to balance multiple criteria such as demand coverage, territorial accessibility, and reduction of operational costs. The results of the analysis provide a useful knowledge base for the future development of a bike-sharing network in Bari, highlighting how planning supported by objective data and analytical tools can guide more efficient and sustainable decisions.

Abstract
The results of the analysis provide a useful knowledge base for the future development of a bike-sharing network in Bari, highlighting how planning supported by objective data and analytical tools can guide more efficient and sustainable decisions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
