This thesis analyzes management control in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that operate on a project basis, focusing specifically on Studio Energy S.r.l., a company in the renewable energy sector. The "as-is" analysis revealed several critical issues regarding the financial management of projects, including the lack of a fully structured budgeting system and the failure to allocate indirect costs to individual projects. Based on these findings, two practical solutions were developed: a new budgeting system designed to determine project costs and facilitate the subsequent preparation of commercial quotes—incorporating a percentage to cover contingencies and an expected margin—and an indirect cost allocation model aimed at providing a more accurate picture of the profitability of individual projects.

Abstract
This thesis analyzes management control in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that operate on a project basis, focusing specifically on Studio Energy S.r.l., a company in the renewable energy sector. The "as-is" analysis revealed several critical issues regarding the financial management of projects, including the lack of a fully structured budgeting system and the failure to allocate indirect costs to individual projects. Based on these findings, two practical solutions were developed: a new budgeting system designed to determine project costs and facilitate the subsequent preparation of commercial quotes—incorporating a percentage to cover contingencies and an expected margin—and an indirect cost allocation model aimed at providing a more accurate picture of the profitability of individual projects.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
