This thesis addresses the kinematic and dynamic analysis of the FANUC M-410iC/185 palletizing robot, a four-axis manipulator with a parallelogram structure, with the aim of validating its behavior during the palletizing operating cycle and designing the associated vacuum gripper. The forward kinematic analysis was carried out using the complex number plane method, exploiting the parallelogram's property of keeping the gripper parallel to the ground, in order to derive the relationships between the joint variables and the position, velocity, and acceleration of the TCP. Based on these results, the trapezoidal motion profile of the complete palletizing cycle was reconstructed, identifying the kinematically most demanding cycles. Building on this data, the dynamic analysis was developed using the free-body method applied sequentially to each element of the kinematic chain (gripper, link 3, link 2, link 1), leading to the determination of the reactions and the moment at the robot base. The results obtained were compared with the limits declared by the manufacturer, verifying the compatibility of the simulated work cycle with the machine's nominal performance. In parallel, the design of the vacuum gripper was carried out, analyzing the weight and inertial forces acting on the handled load and performing detachment and adhesion/slipping verifications, compared against the performance declared by the manufacturer of the selected suction cups. The results confirm the consistency of the developed model with the actual behavior of the robot and the adequacy of the designed gripping system, providing a complete and verified picture of the kinematic, dynamic, and gripping behavior of the palletizing system considered.

Abstract
The results confirm the consistency of the developed model with the actual behavior of the robot and the adequacy of the designed gripping system, providing a complete and verified picture of the kinematic, dynamic, and gripping behavior of the palletizing system considered.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
