This thesis addresses the design of an adapter bracket connecting a brake caliper with a 100 mm mounting pitch to a fork with a 130 mm mounting pitch. After analysing the longitudinal braking dynamics and determining the design load, the bracket was modelled in CAD and assessed by finite element analysis under two load conditions. The work also includes a preliminary static assessment of the fastened connections and identifies the checks required before any real-world application.

Abstract
This thesis addresses the design of an adapter bracket connecting a brake caliper with a 100 mm mounting pitch to a fork with a 130 mm mounting pitch. After analysing the longitudinal braking dynamics and determining the design load, the bracket was modelled in CAD and assessed by finite element analysis under two load conditions. The work also includes a preliminary static assessment of the fastened connections and identifies the checks required before any real-world application.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
