This thesis focuses on the CAD modelling and finite element analysis of the Concorde wing configuration. After an overview of the main geometric, aerodynamic and structural characteristics of the supersonic aircraft, the work addresses the preparation of the three-dimensional model for structural analysis. Starting from the complete CAD model of the aircraft, a half-wing is isolated while retaining the geometric and propulsion-related components relevant to the subsequent simulation. The model is then prepared for FEM analysis by defining material properties, boundary conditions, loads and mesh discretisation. The analysis allows the structural response of the half-wing to be investigated in terms of stresses, strains and displacements, highlighting the most highly stressed regions. The work demonstrates the integration of CAD modelling and the finite element method in the structural study of a complex aeronautical configuration such as the Concorde.

Abstract
The work demonstrates the integration of CAD modelling and the finite element method in the structural study of a complex aeronautical configuration such as the Concorde.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
