This thesis presents a biomechanical study of two different types of total lumbar intervertebral prostheses. The investigation is conducted using Finite Element Analysis (FEM) through the 3D modeling software Autodesk Inventor. Specifically, this work models and compares two alternative designs (one featuring convex endplates and a biconcave disc, and the other with concave endplates and a biconvex disc) to simulate their mechanical behavior and evaluate the resulting stress and deformation levels under specific physiological loads.

Abstract
This thesis presents a biomechanical study of two different types of total lumbar intervertebral prostheses. The investigation is conducted using Finite Element Analysis (FEM) through the 3D modeling software Autodesk Inventor. Specifically, this work models and compares two alternative designs (one featuring convex endplates and a biconcave disc, and the other with concave endplates and a biconvex disc) to simulate their mechanical behavior and evaluate the resulting stress and deformation levels under specific physiological loads.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
