This thesis evaluates MAFALDA 2.0, an ontology-based explainable artificial intelligence framework for wearable devices, applying it to the recognition of three affective states (baseline, stress, amusement) on the WESAD dataset. Through feature engineering and per-subject calibration, under leakage-free subject-independent validation, it achieves performance competitive with the state of the art while providing logical, inspectable justifications for every decision.

Abstract
This thesis evaluates MAFALDA 2.0, an ontology-based explainable artificial intelligence framework for wearable devices, applying it to the recognition of three affective states (baseline, stress, amusement) on the WESAD dataset. Through feature engineering and per-subject calibration, under leakage-free subject-independent validation, it achieves performance competitive with the state of the art while providing logical, inspectable justifications for every decision.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
