Abstract
In this study, we applied computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to closely analyze the behavior of a scramjet combustor. The research focuses on the interaction between supersonic flows and the related combustion processes. Discretization of the spatial domain required a complex mesh, which was developed in Pointwise during the preprocessing phase. Subsequently, numerical simulations were completed using the Ansys Fluent solver, integrating the most suitable turbulence models. Thanks to this approach, the results not only characterize the internal fluid field but also estimate the overall efficiency of supersonic combustion.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
