ANALISI LIMITE DI ARCHI E VOLTE IN MURATURA

After some historical notes on the statics of the arch, si analyzed the Mery method of which it is executed a calculus. The theory of elasticity is shown for curvilinear axis beams carried out by means of the SAP2000 software, comparing it with the result of the calculation performed through the ARCO program of prof. Gelfi, which is based on the static theorem of the limit analysis, with the aim of demonstrate the inability of the elastic model to describe the behavior of masonry arches. Study and application of the limit analysis to arches and masonry vaults, in particular cross vaults and leccesi vaults.

Dopo alcuni cenni storici sulla statica dell'arco, si analizza il metodo Mery di cui viene eseguita un'applicazione. Viene esposta la teoria dell'elasticità per travi ad asse curvilineo di cui si realizza un'applicazione attraverso il software SAP2000 confrontandola con il risultato del calcolo eseguito attraverso il programma ARCO del prof. Gelfi, che si basa sul teorema statico dell'analisi limite, con l'obiettivo di dimostrare l'incapacità del modello elastico di descrivere il comportamento degli archi in muratura. Studio e applicazione dell'analisi limite ad archi e volte in muratura, in particolare a volte a crociera e volte leccesi.
