This thesis work, carried out in collaboration with Bosch , designs and validates a modular software framework for functional safety in collaborative robotics, based on the ROS 2 environment and Docker containerization. Starting from the analysis of ISO 10218 and ISO/TS 15066 standards , the project implements the four main safe interaction strategies, with a particular focus on Speed and Separation Monitoring (SSM) applied to the Franka Emika manipulator. The developed architecture is articulated on three main levels: a State Machine for coordinating operating modes , a Bridge module for hardware abstraction , and a Safe Controller dedicated to redundant validation of sensory data and fault management.

Abstract
The results demonstrate the system's effectiveness in ensuring the safe stop of the robot and the traceability of critical events , offering a scalable and hardware-agnostic solution for risk management in shared human-machine environments.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
