Abstract

Being a nomad of today means believing in the dialogue between civilizations and cultures. The project thus starts by analyzing the artifacts, defined as ritual objects nomads, in various social, spatial and temporal contexts, who have seen the tent as the symbol of the daily living environment, with a revolutionary aspect that continues to change its design by upsetting styles and materials. The history and knowledge of these artifacts are intertwined with the cultural transfers they inherited from the nomads of Europe, Asia and America. Together with the methodical research of man, in constant change, and from needs of new nomads who by choice or necessity move along the paths defined by globalization. The interest in mobility has reached its peak in the wake of the pandemic, the latter has inspired many people to radically reimagine the very definition of everyday life and made one of the realities that has always involved our society, the problem of the homeless. In fact, the project aims to intensify the dialogue between the homeless and contemporary nomadism, with the purpose of finding simplifying and functional solutions to the needs of a homeless person, according to the design criteria, starting from the basic principles of a structure: transportability, adaptability and modularity of the elements
