This thesis is part of the design of hearing aids. In particular, the study focuses on tinnitus, a disorder commonly known as tinnitus, which causes the perception of a whistling sound, and which can be unbearable to the point of affecting the quality of life of the subject who is affected. From the analysis and comparison of the scientific literature relating to the various support therapies, Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) was taken into consideration, the most common for relieving the annoying sound produced by tinnitus. The project consists in the creation of a medical set consisting of a pair of devices, one for each ear, which support TRT with a playlist of therapeutic sounds; to this feature is added another one relating to the care for ear hygiene and the prevention of other triggers of tinnitus. The set includes two hearing aids, which can be connected and managed via an app, and a case that sterilizes and recharges them. The intent is to offer a simple and intuitive product, able to allow the patient an easy coexistence with the problem and which can promote social inclusion and the acceptance of their disorder, thanks also to a sophisticated design of the forms.
