The thesis lab intends to identify an area of design research concerning process innovation related to the contamination between industrial and craft processes. The theme of Safety for cyclists and bicycles is transversal to several production sectors and fields of application. As well as highlighting the powerful role of contamination processes in the innovation of languages and techniques, it highlights a precise direction of research with respect to the trends of globalisation and standardisation of goods. The theme of the project is conceived in terms of strategic design, i.e. as the possibility of defining new design solutions aimed at solving the problems identified in the analysis phase. In this sense, therefore, the intention is to provide the cyclist with a solution aimed at clearly and effectively signalling the cyclist's presence on the road, starting from the behaviour of various animals present in nature, such as octopuses and praying mantises, to increase the cyclist's visibility, exploiting the sensitivity of the human eye to the movement of elements and bright spots in the surrounding environment. Starting from this peculiarity present in the animal world, we tried to implement light elements and sensors able to obtain from the environment the information necessary to effectively implement the behaviour under consideration in order to effectively signal the cyclist's position to other road users. Two specific thematic areas have already been identified concerning: 1° Implementation of sensors aimed at regulating the operation of the light band in a maximum automatism, so as to implement a deimatic type behaviour, to the concept of the light band to be worn. 2° Design of a fastening system to make the light band wearable by the cyclist or attachable to accessories used by cyclists, such as jackets or backpacks. This system would make it possible to make the headband universal and easy to install, thus allowing the headband to be used by every cyclist, type of context of use, as well as every bicycle frame.

Abstract
This system would make it possible to make the headband universal and easy to install, thus allowing the headband to be used by every cyclist, type of context of use, as well as every bicycle frame.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
