The thesis develops from a research study on the main themes of the kitchen environment, during its evolution, from the second post-war period up to the contemporary. The changes have been many, given the different trends that have characterized the socio-cultural changes. The kitchen environment becomes of central importance in the living interior, an essential element of the family nucleus. From a kitchen that in the past was used by a single user, the system evolves into an element that allows interaction between multiple users, while simultaneously making it possible to share culinary habits and attitudes. Through an exhaustive review and analysis of concrete examples it will be discovered how the hexagon is an ideal shape for the creation of stable and regular structures. Furthermore, it will be explored how the hexagon manifests itself in various natural phenomena, from which the design inspiration comes from the hexagonal shape in nature and in particular from the basalt column, a material that will later also be used in the production of some components of the kitchen itself. The project presents itself with a multifunctional and modular structure, accompanying any spatial need of the user.

Abstract
The project presents itself with a multifunctional and modular structure, accompanying any spatial need of the user.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
