The purpose of the research project RESIDAQUA, born in Madrid, is to develop an innovative system for the exploitation of the energy contained in waste water, adaptable to different scenarios. The work thesis operates in the early stages of the research, with the aim of finding the variables to be incorporated in the design of these systems. The analysis of the construction technologies of the sewer system, aims to identify the parameters, whose variation affects the average calculated radiant temperature in the sewer pipe, used for the model validation. In the early stages, the study involved physical and material properties. After that, ventilation inside the sewer pipe was evaluated, with the purpose of defining the effects of storm drains on the radiant temperature in the sewer pipe. The urban scenarios identified were two and concern two sewer pipe ducts located respectively in Calle Paseo de la Habana and Calle de Ponzano in Madrid, Spain. Inside these pipelines, the flow and the air and water temperature sensors were installed. On the basis of the monitored data, useful for validation purposes, the modelling of the two sewer pipelines was carried out by using the software Designbuilder. The sewer pipes were modeled as underground thermal zones, setting the appropriate boundary conditions, such as ground and urban conditions. After the modelling, which has allowed to obtain the surface temperature of the sewer pipe base, the estimation of the waste water temperature have been made, through a method based on weighting coefficients, taking into account several physical phenomena.

Abstract
After the modelling, which has allowed to obtain the surface temperature of the sewer pipe base, the estimation of the waste water temperature have been made, through a method based on weighting coefficients, taking into account several physical phenomena.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
