This work want to test, applied to a study case, the modelling technology BIM to a historical building. In particular, this technology makes it possible to model a building through the creation of digital parametric objects, which can be enriched with useful information for all future phases of the building's life cycle. The model will be useful for a restoration projet, maintenance or for the management of the building. The case study is about the historic building that today hosts a Museum at the historic residence of “Prince Guglielmo Romanazzi – Carducci di Santo di Mauro”, located in Putignano (BA). The building was built in the late medieval period between the 15th and 16th centuries. The museum is structured on five floors, basement, ground floor with mezzanine, main floor, second floor, third floor and are arranged around a central courtyard with a loggia. To create a 3D Model, we leveraged the advanced features of the Autodesk Revit 2020 software, which allows the creation, of detailed and consistent 3D elements, but also utilize clusters of parametric-adaptive templates. The approach and use of such tools, defined as "intelligent tools", was key to the completion of the project as it made it possible to create objects with non-standard shapes and sizes often found in such buildings. In particular, some parametric objects were created, namely the walls, ceiling, floors, stairs with the aim of producing a final model that is as close as possible to reality. A survey with a laser scanner and drone was used as a basis for the 3D modeling. The survey data, once acquired, were processed with the Autodesk ReCap Pro 2019 software in order to obtain a cloud of point subsequently imported into Revit. The final result of this study is a good 3D model of the entire Museum.

Abstract
The final result of this study is a good 3D model of the entire Museum.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
